Policies > Dress Code
Dancers must be neatly dressed, following the Company rules for makeup, dress, and hair styling for classes and performances. Company colors are as follows:

SCDT 1 - Black leotards

SCDT 2 - Navy Blue leotards

SCDT 3 - Light Blue leotards

SCDT 4 - Light Pink leotards
Rehearsal Dress
All dancers must wear coverups to and from all classes, rehearsals, and performances. No street clothes may be work during class. Leg warmers are allowed only during warm-ups. Brand and style numbers will be provided for the company-approved leotard and required tights each year. Suggestions for ballet slippers will be provided. Pointe shoes should be fitted on a per-Dancer basis.
Company Uniforms
All Dancers are required to purchase a Company uniform so promote the Company for and at various events held throughout the year. Only Company Dancers should wear the Company uniforms.
SCDT Gear
SCDT Company gear and uniforms are only to be purchased through the Company Store, and should not be personally purchased. The Company Store provides various options for purchase each fall.
Hair
Hair must be pulled back from the face at all times, preferably in a bun or french twist.
Jewelry
Permitted jewelry is limited to rings and stud earrings for the safety of all Dancers.
Makeup
Makeup is not required for rehearsals and workshops unless requested by the Artistic Director. Performance makeup is determined by the Artistic Director and/or the Costume Designer, and will be provided to all Dancers prior to Theatre Week.
